Nutritional counselling
For all the conveniences our modern world has to offer, it poses some very really threats to your child's
health. These threats come in the shape of chronic lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, obesity, allergies, ADHD,
learning disabilities, cancer and asthma, to name a few. To combat these dangers, it's important to understand
that what children eat and drink, directly impacts on their state of health and their ability to fight disease and illness.
During a nutritional counseling session, we'll ask you about what you're currently feeding (and 'watering')
your child and then we'll help you find ways to improve on this. Once parents understand just how much damage
can be done through bad food/drink choices, it makes it easier for them to make the changes and stick to their guns when
the little beast demands his/her favourite food.
In some instances, it may be necessary (or desirable) to use Hair Mineral Analysis to track your child's initial
(and subsequent) toxic loads and nutrient deficiencies. This tool helps us understand whether or not your child is
experiencing negative health effects due to a build-up of toxins in the tissues (which happens over time). Various agents
such as lead, cadmium, PCBs, fluoride, chlorine, pesticides etc. are found in both our water supply and in many processed
foodstuffs, so it's easy to understand how your child can be affected.
In some instances - and if the child is old enough - it may be necessary to look at some deep level detoxification
protocols so that the vitally important detoxification organs are given the support they need to function properly.
How you and your child benefit:
learn to understand how your child's body deals with the foods he/she ingests
reduce his/her potential for food allergies or intolerances
help him/her achieve outstanding health through optimal organ function and efficiency
educate yourself with authentic nutritional research, versus commercial media articles
enjoy a paradigm shift in the way you approach certain foods (e.g. fats) in your child's diet
